PASCAL CHERRIER - UNIVERSITE PIERRE ET MARIE CURIE DI PARIGI - SIMPLIFIED VARIATIONAL PROBLEMS OF VON KARMAN TYPE

Following a variational approach for problems of von Karman type due to Melvin Berger, we study some elliptic equations containing iterated Laplacians and Monge–Ampère operators. The equations are considered on manifolds of even dimension, where there appear difficulties due to the lack of compactness in the limit case of the Sobolev immersions.
