Michael Cowling - University of New South Wales (Cattedra Fubini) - ANALYSIS ON PRODUCT SPACES

In the last twenty years or so, analysts have worked with so-called metric
spaces, which generalise Euclidean space, manifolds, and fractals.
Others have worked on so-called product spaces, where balls are replaced by products of
balls.
This talk is a report on joint work with many others that attempts to “complete the
square” by working on products of metric spaces.
In particular I will explain some results on the symmetries of product metric spaces.
