Call for Mini-Symposia | ECCOMAS 9th Young Investigators Conference and PhD Olympiad
The Call for Mini-Symposia (MS) for the ninth edition of the ECCOMAS Young Investigators Conference and PhD Olympiad (YIC 2027) is open.
The conference will be held from 8 to 10 September 2027 at Politecnico di Torino and will be organized by the Department of Mathematical Sciences DISMA
The main objective of YIC 2027 is to promote discussion on recent advances in computational methods and their applications in science and engineering, while providing PhD students and young researchers with an opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas, and establish new scientific collaborations.
The scientific programme will feature invited plenary lectures, parallel sessions, round-table discussions, and the ECCOMAS PhD Olympiad, where selected PhD theses will compete for the final prize. A dedicated social programme will offer opportunities to discover Torino and network informally, including a welcome cocktail, conference banquet, and a Colloquium at the Accademia delle Scienze by Prof. Stefano Berrone, Vice Rector for Quality Assurance at the Politecnico di Torino, alongside other social activities.
Information on the programme, topics, abstract submission, registration, important dates, accommodation, and practical details is available on the official conference website.
The deadline for submitting MS proposals is 15 December 2026.
