Biography

My research involves the development of mathematical and computational models to understand the behaviour of biological, ecological and sociological problems. Examples include the mechanisms that allows tissues and organs to form during embryonic development, the invasive spread of brain tumours and other cancers, the spatial structuring of animal populations and the modelling of landscape features. Most of my work involves international collaborations with a range of multidisciplinary scientists, spanning from theoreticians to experimental scientists.
