Stochastic orders and positive dependence concepts in risk theory, reliability and actuarial sciences

Comparison criteria for stochastic values and processes, and their applications in all the fields where decisions in non deterministic contexts should be done, are the object of this specific research topic. Among the comparisons considered in this research there are, for example, the stochastic dominances and the variability orders commonly considered in finance and economics, or the stochastic orders based on aging and wearing (for random lifetimes of items or multicomponets systems), but also the multivariate orders that allow for comparisons of the degree of dependence among components of random vectors.
The main aspects studied in this research activity are the properties of these comparisons, their characterizations, their consequences and the conditions t be satisfied, as well as their applications in reliability, social sciences and actuarial sciences.
