The research of this team is devoted to applying statistical methods in industry and in the applied life sciences. Our approach is essentially multidisciplinary.
The statistical methods most used in industry (mechanical, automotive, bioengineering, pharmaceutical) are the design of experiments, reliability, measurement science, predictive probability and comparative tools to demonstrate superiority or equivalence of treatments. In the particular case of the pharmaceutical industry, experiments are clinical trials, for which statistics is essential.
